Duties will include;

  • Co-ordinating ocean shipments effectively and efficiently
  • Providing a high level of customer service to key account clients
  • Keeping clients advised with the status of their shipments
  • Creating job files
  • Liaising with shipping lines
  • Using Destina8 to claim UCN
  • Arranging customs clearance and completing customs entries
  • Resolving any problems
  • Updating files and invoicing

Skills and experience required:

  • Deep sea import and export experience

Duties will include:

  • Arranging groupage trailer exports to European destinations together with some imports
  • Quotations
  • Taking bookings and booking in on the system
  • Arranging collections and /or deliveries of goods across Europe
  • Complete manifests and delivery notes for use by Transport and Warehouse teams
  • Providing a high level of customer service.
  • Developing effective relationships with overseas agents and hauliers
  • Comply with EU/UK regulations in regard to import/export procedures and documentation

Key Skills and Experience required

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding trailer operations is required.
  • Experience of pricing for products / services

Essential skills / experience required:

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager you need to be self-motivated and confident in selling to the SME market, you will be proficient at sourcing your own sales leads and managing your own pipeline with a 1 in 3 closing ratio. You should have good knowledge, experience and networks across the Air, Sea, and Road sectors and able to hit the ground running.

Duties will include

  • Generating new business through cold calling, prospecting, upselling, cross-selling, online networking and meetings to identify and develop opportunities.
  • Constantly grow the revenue in line with set yearly and quarterly targets
  • Following up on leads, referrals, enquiries and call backs.
  • Attending a minimum of 8 sales visits per week
  • Rate generation and presentation to include tender processes on all services
  • Liaising with new & existing customers to establish client relationships.
  • Ensuring the smooth transition of sales to operational delivery.
  • Maintaining customer database & preparing relevant sales reports.
  • Ensuring the company's core values are maintained at all times
  • Attending the Head Office in the North of England 2 days per month
