Duties will include:

Essential skills / experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years deep sea import operations experience

A Freight Forwarding company in Essex require and experienced European Roadfreight Groupage Operator with a freight forwarding background to join their team.

Duties will include:

  • Handling Dutch, Italian and French Groupage Exports,
  • Booking own trucks / part loads dependent on groupage levels.
  • Quoting of shipments using tariffs and co-loaders.
  • Arranging collections with in house haulier and 3rd party carriers,
  • Liaising with Overseas agents to follow jobs through.
  • Charging of Files
  • Close monitoring of customers for fall off / gain
  • Liaising directly with clients and where required direct client visits with sales rep / manager.

  • Handling seafreight imports

  • Liaise with allocated clients

Essential skills / experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years deep sea import experience within a freight forwarding environment
  • Knowledge of import procedures
  • Some Customs entry experience would be an advantage although training will be available
  • Basic understanding of road and rail deliveries.

  • Systems experience: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  • Cargowise, Data freight (or similar Customs management system)
  • Destin8 and CNS Compass

Hours are 9am to 5.30pm Mon - Fri (Overtime may be required)

Salary negotiable c£19k according to experience.
